On June 24th 2018, Barton, our Director of Culinary Development, visited the Ivy City Smoke House Tavern & Market for the 13th Annual DC Crab Cake Competition! The competition involves 8 of DC's top chefs going head-to-head to make the best Maryland crab cakes, while also raising money for education in the culinary arts. Barton met Bart Vandaele from Top Chef and Jay Caputo, chef at Ivy City. It looks like it was a great day spent networking with other food-minded individuals and enjoying delicious seafood!
